Act on Environment, Hygiene and Safety at Work 1980 No. 46 28 May
[Article 66 a. When the preparation of a safety and health plan at work, including a risk assessment and a health protection plan, requires skills that the employer or his employees do not have, the employer shall seek the assistance of qualified service providers who have been approved by the Icelandic Occupational Safety and Health Administration for such work. The employer shall inform the service provider of the factors known or suspected to affect the safety and health of employees. Even if the employer uses the services of such parties, he is nevertheless responsible for the preparation of the plan and its implementation.
